Jim Douglas are old established licensed slaughterers and animal hauliers based near Lampeter in Mid Wales.  The business has been established for over forty years at the same location and is widely known for providing an excellent service to the farming community.  The original business provides a collection and disposal service for animals found dead on farm or requiring to be put down on welfare grounds.  The founder, Jim Douglas, still takes an active role in the business at the age of 75.

Services provided include:

• Collection and disposal of fallen livestock in Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire, Brecknockshire, Radnorshire, Montgomeryshire, Glamorgan and South Gwynedd.
• Disposal service for farmers on site – open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm Saturday and Sunday
• Collection and disposal of old cattle under the Older Cattle Disposal Scheme (OCDS) – Payment within three working days, subject to valid vet certificates and MLC inspector approval
• Licensed slaughtermen on hand to dispatch animals for welfare reasons
